ICD-9-CM Volume 3

ICD-9-CM Volume 3 is a system of procedural codes used by health insurers to classify medical procedures for billing purposes. It is a subset of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD) 9-CM. Volumes 1 and 2 are used for diagnostic codes.

Interview, evaluation, consultation, and examination

Physical therapy, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation, and related procedures

Procedures related to the psyche

Ophthalmologic and otologic diagnosis and treatment

Nonoperative intubation and irrigation

Replacement and removal of therapeutic appliances/nonoperative removal of foreign body or calculus
