Endometrial biopsy - (pronounced) (EN-doh-MEE-Baum-ul BY-op-see) A procedure in which a sample of tissue is removed from the endometrium (the lining of the womb) for examination under a microscope . A thin tube is inserted through the cervix into the uterus, and gentle scraping and suction are used to remove the sample
