Obesity in Cameroon
Cameroon, officially known as the Republic of Cameroon, is a country located in Central Africa. It is bordered by Nigeria to the west and north, Chad to the northeast, the Central African Republic to the east, and Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo to the south.
In 2016, Cameroon had an adult obesity rate of 11.4%, ranking it 135th globally. This data is based on the Body Mass Index (BMI) which is a simple index of weight-for-height that is commonly used to classify overweight and obesity in adults.
