Vietnam (Medical Perspective)

Vietnam (pronunciation: /viːətˈnɑːm, -ˈnæm, -ˈnʌm, ˌviːət-/), officially known as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a country in Southeast Asia.

Etymology

The name "Vietnam" is a combination of two Vietnamese words, "Việt" referring to the people in the south of the Kingdom of Nam Viet, and "Nam" meaning "South".
