Montenegro (pronunciation: /ˌmɒntɪˈneɪɡroʊ, -ˈniː-, -ˈnɛɡ-/), in the field of medicine, is not a term directly related to a specific medical condition or procedure. It is a country located in Southeast Europe on the Adriatic Sea. However, it is associated with a medical test known as the Montenegro skin test, used in the diagnosis of Leishmaniasis.

The term "Montenegro" is derived from the words "monte" and "negro" which mean "black mountain" in Venetian and Spanish. The name was first used to refer to the country in the late 15th century.
