Vietnam, officially known as the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is a country located in East and Southeast Asia. It is the easternmost country on the Indochina Peninsula. In 2016, Vietnam had an adult obesity rate of 2.1%, ranking it 192nd globally.

Obesity in Vietnam[edit]

Obesity is a growing health concern in Vietnam, particularly in urban areas. Despite the low overall obesity rate, the country has seen a steady increase in the number of overweight and obese individuals in recent years. This is largely due to changes in diet and lifestyle, with a shift towards high-calorie, processed foods and sedentary behavior.

Healthcare in Vietnam[edit]

Vietnam's healthcare system is a mix of public and private providers. The government provides basic healthcare services through a network of health facilities across the country, while private clinics and hospitals offer more specialized care.

Weight Loss Facilities[edit]

There are several well-known healthcare facilities in Vietnam that offer weight loss programs. These include:

  • Vinmec International Hospital: This hospital offers a comprehensive weight loss program that includes dietary counseling, physical therapy, and surgical options for those who qualify.
  • Hoan My Medical Corporation: Hoan My operates several hospitals and clinics throughout Vietnam, many of which offer weight loss services.
  • Victoria Healthcare International Clinics: Victoria Healthcare offers a range of weight loss and wellness programs, including nutritional counseling and exercise therapy.
