The term world refers to anything involving the entire earth; not limited or provincial in scope; all of the living human inhabitants of the earth; all of your experiences that determine how things appear to you; people in general; especially a distinctive group of people with some shared interest; a part of the earth that can be considered separately; the concerns of this life as distinguished from heaven and the afterlife; people in general considered as a whole; the 3rd planet from the sun; the planet we live on; everything that exists anywhere. Continents of the world
The most common classification recognizes seven continents of the world, which are (from largest to smallest): Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. Asia and Europe are sometimes lumped together into a Eurasian continent resulting in six continents.
