Togo, officially the Togolese Republic, is a country in West Africa bordered by Ghana to the west, Benin to the east and Burkina Faso to the north. The country extends south to the Gulf of Guinea, where its capital Lomé is located.

Obesity in Togo[edit]

In 2016, Togo had an adult obesity rate of 8.4%, ranking it 151st globally. This is relatively low compared to many other countries, particularly those in the developed world. However, it still represents a significant health concern for the country.

Healthcare Facilities[edit]

Togo has several healthcare facilities that offer services for weight loss and obesity management. These include:

  • Clinique Biasa - Located in Lomé, this clinic offers a range of healthcare services, including nutrition counseling and weight management programs.
  • Hôpital de Bè - This hospital in Lomé has a department dedicated to endocrinology and metabolic diseases, which includes obesity treatment.
