The Tennessee Republican Party is the state affiliate of the Republican Party (United States) in Tennessee. The party is headquartered in Nashville. The Tennessee Republican Party is responsible for promoting the principles and policies of the national Republican Party within the state, supporting Republican candidates for public office, and organizing party activities and events.
History
The Tennessee Republican Party was founded in 1854, shortly after the formation of the national Republican Party.
