Norvir - (pronounced) (NOR turn) A medicine used to treat HIV infection (the virus that causes AIDS). It is also being studied in the treatment of some types of cancer. Norvir blocks HIV's ability to make copies of itself and can block the growth of cancer cells. It's a type of anti-HIV and a type of protease inhibitor. Also called ritonavir
