Merrill

Merrill is a city in Lincoln County, Wisconsin, United States. It is located to the south of the Wisconsin River. Merrill was first settled in the mid-19th century by lumbermen and sawmill operators. The city was originally named Jenny Bull Falls, after the wife of one of the first settlers. In 1881, the city was renamed Merrill, in honor of Sherman Merrill, a prominent lumberman and the owner of the Merrill Lumber Company.
