Waushara County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 24,520. Its county seat is Wautoma.
History[edit]
Waushara County was established in 1851. The name "Waushara" is derived from a Native American word meaning "good land." The county has a rich history of agriculture and has been a significant contributor to the state's farming industry.
Geography[edit]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 637 square miles (1,650 km²), of which 626 square miles (1,620 km²) is land and 11 square miles (28 km²) (1.7%) is water. The county is characterized by its rolling hills, forests, and numerous lakes and rivers.
