Kent County

This is the middle-sized county in Delaware in terms of both land area and population.

Kent County is located in the center of Delaware. It spans an area of 798 square miles and has a population of approximately 180,786. The county seat is Dover, which is also the capital of Delaware.

Kent County's healthcare facilities include the Bayhealth Medical Center, which is the largest healthcare provider in the county. Other healthcare facilities include the Dover Behavioral Health System and the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill.

Sussex County

This is the smallest county in Delaware in terms of population, but the largest in terms of land area.

Sussex County is the southernmost county in Delaware. Despite being the largest county in terms of land area at 1,196 square miles, it has the smallest population of approximately 234,225. The county seat is Georgetown.
