Kenosha County, Wisconsin is a county located in the southeastern corner of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 169,151, making it the eighth-most populous county in Wisconsin. The county seat is Kenosha. The county was created in 1850 and is part of the Chicago metropolitan area.
Geography
Kenosha County is situated along the western shore of Lake Michigan. According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 754 square miles (1,950 km²), of which 272 square miles (700 km²) is land and 482 square miles (1,250 km²) (64%) is water.

Demographics
As of the 2020 census, there were 169,151 people, 63,000 households, and 42,000 families residing in the county. The population density was 622 people per square mile (240/km²). The racial makeup of the county was 80.5% White, 11.2% Black or African American, 1.1% Native American, 2.0% Asian, and 5.2% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 13.5% of the population.

Kenosha County has a diverse economy with sectors including manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and education. Major employers in the county include Amazon, Snap-on, and Uline.
Education
Kenosha County is served by several school districts, including the Kenosha Unified School District, which is the largest in the county. Higher education institutions include University of Wisconsin–Parkside and Carthage College.
Transportation
Kenosha County is served by several major highways, including Interstate 94, U.S. Route 41, and U.S. Route 45. The Kenosha Regional Airport provides general aviation services, and the county is also served by the Metra commuter rail system, which connects to Chicago.
