Eau Claire County is a county located in the state of Wisconsin, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 105,710. Its county seat is Eau Claire, which is also the largest city in the county. The county was founded in 1856 and is named after the Eau Claire River.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 645 square miles (1,670 km²), of which 638 square miles (1,650 km²) is land and 7.1 square miles (18 km²) (1.1%) is water.

As of the 2020 census, there were 105,710 people, 42,000 households, and 24,000 families residing in the county. The population density was 166 people per square mile (64/km²). The racial makeup of the county was predominantly White, with small percentages of African American, Native American, Asian, and other races.

Major highways in Eau Claire County include Interstate 94, U.S. Route 12, U.S. Route 53, State Highway 37, and State Highway 93. The county is also served by the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport.
