Bosulif - (pronounced) (BAH-soo-lif) A drug used to treat adults with chronic myeloid leukemia that is Philadelphia chromosome positive. It is used in some newly diagnosed patients. It is also used in patients who cannot be treated with another treatment or who have not gotten better after another treatment. It is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer. Bosulif blocks BCR-ABL and other proteins that can prevent cancer cells from growing. It's a type of tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Also called bosutinib
