FGF10

FGF10 or Fibroblast Growth Factor 10 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FGF10 gene. It is part of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family, which is involved in a variety of biological processes, including cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion.

Function

Clinical Significance

For example, they can cause LADD syndrome, a rare genetic disorder characterized by defects in the development of the lacrimal and salivary glands, hearing loss, and dental abnormalities. Mutations in FGF10 have also been linked to aplasia of lacrimal and salivary glands, a condition that affects the development of these glands.
