MacOS Big Sur

macOS Big Sur is the seventeenth major release of macOS, Apple Inc.'s operating system for Macintosh computers. It was announced at WWDC 2020 on June 22, 2020, and was released to the public on November 12, 2020. macOS Big Sur is notable for being the first version of macOS to support both Intel-based and Apple silicon-based Macs.

Features

macOS Big Sur introduced a major redesign of the user interface, bringing it closer to the design language of iOS and iPadOS. Key features include:

  • **Control Center**: A new Control Center similar to that found in iOS, providing quick access to system controls.
  • **Notification Center**: Redesigned to include more interactive notifications and a new widget system.
  • **Safari**: Enhanced performance, improved privacy features, and a customizable start page.
  • **Messages**: New features such as pinned conversations, inline replies, and message effects.

Development
