Johny Srouji

Johny Srouji is a senior executive at Apple, serving as the Senior Vice President of Hardware Technologies. He is known for his significant contributions to the development of Apple's custom silicon and system-on-a-chip (SoC) designs.

Early Life and Education[edit]

Srouji was born and raised in Haifa, Israel. He earned his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology and later obtained a master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.

Career[edit]

Before joining Apple, Srouji worked at IBM and Intel, where he held various engineering and management positions. He joined Apple in 2008 to lead the team responsible for developing Apple's first custom SoC, the A4. Since then, he has overseen the development of a series of increasingly powerful and efficient chips, including the A14 Bionic, which powers the iPhone 12 series, and the M1, Apple's first chip designed for the Mac.

As the Senior Vice President of Hardware Technologies, Srouji leads all aspects of Apple's silicon engineering, including the development of new technologies and the integration of hardware and software.

Recognition[edit]

Srouji's work has been widely recognized within the tech industry. In 2017, he was included in Fortune's list of the "50 Most Influential People in Tech."

Personal Life[edit]

Srouji is fluent in Arabic, Hebrew, and English. He is married and has two children.
