iTunes Remote is a remote control software application developed by Apple Inc. for use with iTunes and the Apple Music app. It allows users to control their iTunes library or Apple Music on a Mac or PC from their iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.

Features

iTunes Remote provides users with the ability to browse their iTunes library, create and edit playlists, and control playback functions such as play, pause, skip, and volume adjustment. The app also supports AirPlay, allowing users to stream music to AirPlay-enabled devices.

Compatibility

iTunes Remote is compatible with devices running iOS 11.4 or later and requires iTunes 12.7 or later or the Apple Music app on macOS Catalina or later.

History

iTunes Remote was first released in 2008 as a free download from the App Store. It has since undergone several updates to improve functionality and compatibility with newer versions of iOS and macOS.

Usage

To use iTunes Remote, users must first download the app from the App Store and pair it with their iTunes library or Apple Music app. This is done by entering a four-digit code displayed on the iOS device into iTunes or the Apple Music app.
