Mesnex - (pronounced) (MES-nex) A drug used to prevent hemorrhagic cystitis (bleeding from the bladder) caused by the cancer drug ifosfamide. Mesnex helps protect healthy tissue from some of the side effects caused by certain cancer drugs. It's a kind of chemoprotectant. Also called Mesna
