Twenty Something is a 2021 American animated short film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film was directed and written by Aphton Corbin and is part of the SparkShorts series.

Plot[edit]

The story follows Gia, a young woman who is navigating the challenges of adulthood. On her 21st birthday, she experiences a unique situation where her inner child and teenage self manifest physically, representing her insecurities and fears about growing up. Throughout the night, Gia learns to embrace all parts of herself and gains confidence in her ability to handle adulthood.

Production[edit]

Twenty Something was developed as part of Pixar's SparkShorts program, which aims to discover new storytellers and experiment with new storytelling techniques. The short film was directed by Aphton Corbin, who also wrote the screenplay. The film was produced by Erik Langley.

Release[edit]

The short premiered on Disney+ on September 10, 2021. It was well-received for its heartfelt storytelling and unique animation style.
