Merida (Brave)

Merida is the main character from the 2012 animated film Brave produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. She is a Scottish princess who defies traditional gender roles and seeks to carve her own path in life.

Merida is the daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor of the Scottish kingdom of DunBroch. She has three younger brothers, Harris, Hubert, and Hamish. Merida is known for her fiery red hair, her archery skills, and her adventurous spirit.

Merida is a headstrong and independent young woman who values her freedom and is determined to make her own choices. She is skilled in archery, sword fighting, and horseback riding. Plot Summary[edit]
In Brave, Merida's refusal to conform to an arranged marriage leads her to seek out a witch for a spell to change her fate. The spell inadvertently transforms her mother into a bear, and Merida must find a way to reverse the spell and mend the bond with her mother. Throughout the film, Merida learns the importance of understanding and compromise.
