Rush: A Disney–Pixar Adventure is a video game developed by Asobo Studio and published by Microsoft Studios. The game was initially released for the Xbox 360 on March 20, 2012, and later re-released for the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows on October 31, 2017. The game is based on various films from Pixar Animation Studios and allows players to experience adventures inspired by these movies.

Gameplay[edit]

Rush: A Disney–Pixar Adventure is a family-friendly game that features cooperative gameplay. Players can team up with characters from six different Pixar films: The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up, Cars, Toy Story, and Finding Dory. Each film's world is recreated in the game, allowing players to explore and complete various challenges and missions.

The game utilizes motion controls through the Kinect sensor on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, although traditional controls are also supported. Players can create their own avatars and interact with the game environment, solving puzzles, racing, and engaging in platforming activities.

Development[edit]

Rush: A Disney–Pixar Adventure was developed by Asobo Studio, a French video game development company known for its work on various licensed titles. The game was part of a series of family-oriented games published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox 360, designed to take advantage of the Kinect sensor's capabilities.

The re-release for the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows featured enhanced graphics, improved controls, and additional content, including the Finding Dory world, which was not present in the original release.

Reception[edit]

The game received mixed to positive reviews from critics. It was praised for its faithful recreation of the Pixar film worlds and its appeal to younger audiences. However, some critics noted that the motion controls could be imprecise and that the gameplay might be too simplistic for older players.
