Buzz Lightyear of Star Command: The Adventure Begins is a 2000 American direct-to-video animated science fiction film produced by Walt Disney Television Animation. The film serves as a pilot for the television series Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and is a spin-off of the Toy Story franchise.
Plot
The film follows Buzz Lightyear, a Space Ranger in the Galactic Alliance, as he battles the evil Emperor Zurg. Buzz is joined by a team of rookies, including Princess Mira Nova, a Tangean with ghosting abilities, Booster Sinclair Munchapper, a janitor turned Space Ranger, and XR, an experimental robot. Together, they work to thwart Zurg's plans to conquer the galaxy.

- Buzz Lightyear (voiced by Tim Allen): The main protagonist, a dedicated and heroic Space Ranger.
- Emperor Zurg (voiced by Wayne Knight): The main antagonist, an evil ruler seeking galactic domination.
