Kitbull

Kitbull is a 2019 American animated short film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and directed by Rosana Sullivan. The film is part of the SparkShorts program, which is designed to discover new storytellers, explore new storytelling techniques, and experiment with new production workflows. Kitbull was released on YouTube on February 18, 2019, and later on Disney+.

Plot

Kitbull tells the story of an unlikely friendship between a stray kitten and an abused pit bull. The kitten, initially wary and independent, gradually forms a bond with the pit bull, who is chained and mistreated by his owner. Through their growing friendship, the two animals find solace and companionship, ultimately leading to their rescue and adoption into loving homes.

The short film was directed by Rosana Sullivan, who also wrote the story. The animation style of Kitbull is distinct from typical Pixar productions, featuring a more hand-drawn, 2D aesthetic.
