Ellagitannin
Ellagitannin is a type of hydrolyzable tannin, a class of polyphenols. These complex chemical compounds are found in a variety of plant species and contribute to their color, taste, and health benefits.

Ellagitannins are large molecules formed by the binding of ellagic acid to a sugar molecule. The ellagic acid is usually bound to the sugar molecule through an ester bond.
