Calzones (recipe) is a keto friendly food item with net carbohydrates of about zero per serving.

Recipe instructions

  1. Thaw bread dough.
  2. When it is able to be sliced, cut each loaf into 6 sections.
  3. Place on greased cookie sheet and allow to rise to its capacity.
  4. While dough is rising, brown meat and mushrooms.
  5. When dough is raised, roll out each section on floured board.
  6. Place 1 tablespoon meat mixture on half the dough.
  7. Add pizza sauce and pizza cheese, as much as you like.
  8. Fold in half and pinch the edges of the dough pieces together.
  9. Lay on cookie sheet.
  10. Bakeat 300 degrees Fahrenheit until done.
  11. May be baked at a higher temperature, if oven isn't too hot.
  12. Bakeuntil bread dough is not doughy on inside.
  13. Can make vegetable calzones, too.
