East Greenville, Pennsylvania

East Greenville is a borough located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. As of the 2010 census, the borough's population was 2,951. It is part of the Upper Perkiomen School District.

History[edit]

East Greenville was incorporated as a borough in 1875, when the East Greenville Post Office was established. The borough was once a thriving industrial town, with industries including the manufacture of cigars, silk goods, and metal goods.

Geography[edit]

East Greenville is located at 40°24′14″N 75°30′15″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km²), all of it land.

Demographics[edit]

As of the 2010 census, there were 2,951 people, 1,202 households, and 772 families residing in the borough. The population density was 5,902.0 people per square mile (2,277.6/km²).

Education[edit]

East Greenville is served by the Upper Perkiomen School District. Schools in the district include Upper Perkiomen High School, Upper Perkiomen Middle School, and four elementary schools.
