Rockledge, Pennsylvania

Rockledge is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is part of the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area and is located approximately 10 miles north of downtown Philadelphia. The borough was incorporated in 1894 and has a rich history that is closely tied to the development of the region.

History

Rockledge was originally part of Abington Township, one of the oldest communities in Montgomery County. The area was first settled in the late 17th century by Quakers who migrated from England.
