Medical genetics is the branch of medicine that involves the diagnosis and management of genetic disorders. Medical Genetics seeks to identify and understand inherited disorders of metabolism and of human development with respect to the genetics.

What is genomic medicine?[edit]

Genomic medicine is an emerging medical discipline that involves using genomic information about an individual as part of their clinical care and the health outcomes. Genomic medicine is making an impact in the fields of oncology, pharmacology, rare and undiagnosed diseases, and infectious disease.
