Chicken Liver in Creamy Mushroom Sauce with Broccoli Mash[edit]

Chicken liver is a nutrient-dense food that is high in protein and a rich source of vitamins and minerals. This recipe pairs it with a creamy mushroom sauce and a side of broccoli mash for a delicious and satisfying keto-friendly meal.

  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until soft.
  2. Add the chicken liver to the pan and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the mushrooms and cook until soft. Add the heavy cream, salt, and pepper and stir to combine.
  4. Return the chicken liver to the pan and simmer in the sauce for 10 minutes.
  5. While the chicken liver is cooking, steam the broccoli until soft. Mash with the butter, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  6. Serve the chicken liver in creamy mushroom sauce with a side of broccoli mash.
