Somerset County is a county located in the southwestern part of the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. As of the 2020 census, the population was 74,729. The county seat is Somerset. The county was created on April 17, 1795, from part of Bedford County and named after Somerset, England.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,081 square miles (2,800 km²), of which 1,075 square miles (2,780 km²) is land and 6.3 square miles (16 km²) (0.6%) is water.
