Warminster Township is a township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1711 and has a rich history dating back to its settlement in 1685. The township is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
History
Warminster Township was originally settled by English Quakers in the late 17th century. The township was named after Warminster, a town in Wiltshire, England. The area was primarily agricultural until the mid-20th century when it began to develop into a suburban community.
