Indium (111In) capromab pendetide (trade name Prostascint) is used to image the extent of prostate cancer.<ref name="PMID 18279057">,
Indium-111 capromab pendetide in the management of recurrent prostate cancer, Expert Review of Anticancer Therapy, 2008, Vol. 8(Issue: 2), pp. 175–81, DOI: 10.1586/14737140.8.2.175, PMID: 18279057,</ref> Capromab is a mouse monoclonal antibody which recognizes a protein found on both prostate cancer cells and normal prostate tissue. It is linked to pendetide, a derivative of DTPA.<ref>WHO Drug Information</ref> Pendetide acts as a chelating agent for the radionuclide indium-111. Following an intravenous injection of Prostascint, imaging is performed using single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT).<ref name=" PMID 18279057" />
