Keto Chicken Liver Pate with Thyme Butter[edit]
This is a delicious and nutritious recipe for a Keto friendly Chicken Liver Pate with Thyme Butter. It's a great way to incorporate organ meats into your diet, which are packed with nutrients.
Ingredients[edit]
- 500g of Chicken Liver
- 1 large Onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of Garlic, minced
- 100g of Butter, divided
- 2 tablespoons of fresh Thyme, chopped
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 50g of Ghee or additional butter for topping
Instructions[edit]
- Clean the chicken livers and pat them dry.
- In a large pan, melt half of the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until they are soft and translucent.
- Add the chicken livers to the pan and cook until they are browned on all sides.
- Add the thyme, salt, and pepper and stir to combine.
- Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool slightly.
- Transfer the mixture to a food processor and blend until smooth.
- While the food processor is running, add the remaining butter in small pieces until it is fully incorporated.
- Transfer the pate to a serving dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Melt the ghee or additional butter and pour it over the top of the pate.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
