Recipe instructions

  1. Wash and soak the dhal for 1 hours.
  2. Drain water completely.
  3. Grind in a blender with fennel seeds, salt and green chilly.
  4. Grate beetroot in a grater to very fine pieces.
  5. Mix everything in a bowl.
  6. Make it into a small patty.
  7. Heat oil in a pan.
  8. Drop the patty in hot oil and deep fry to reddish brown.
