Pork Roast with Cream Sauce and Butter Fried Cauliflower[edit]
Ingredients[edit]
- Pork roast (1 kg)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Butter (4 tablespoons)
- Cauliflower (1 head, cut into florets)
- Heavy cream (1 cup)
- Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
- Parsley (for garnish)
Instructions[edit]
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the pork roast with salt and pepper and minced garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork roast and sear on all sides until browned. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for about 60 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through.
- While the pork is roasting, prepare the butter fried cauliflower. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cauliflower florets and cook until they are golden brown and tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove the pork roast from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. In the meantime, prepare the cream sauce. In a small saucepan, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Slice the pork roast and serve with the butter fried cauliflower and cream sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
