Nuvigil - (pronounced) (NOO-vih-jil) A drug used to treat certain sleep disorders, such as narcolepsy. This makes patients feel more alert and awake. It is also being studied to treat insomnia and fatigue in cancer patients. Nuvigil works in a part of the brain that controls sleep and wakefulness. It's kind of a wakefulness stimulant. Also called armodafinil
