Health (pronunciation: /hɛlθ/) is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO). The etymology of the word "health" comes from the Old English word "hǣlth", which means "wholeness, a being whole, sound or well."
