Columbia Global Centers are a network of international research and learning hubs established by Columbia University to enhance the university's global presence and foster academic collaboration across borders. The centers aim to facilitate research, education, and outreach activities in various regions around the world.

History

The initiative was launched in 2009 by Lee C. Bollinger, the President of Columbia University, as part of the university's strategy to expand its global footprint and engage with diverse cultures and academic communities. The first centers were established in Amman, Jordan and Beijing, China.
