Wallach Hall

Wallach Hall is a residence hall located on the Morningside Heights campus of Columbia University in New York City. It is part of the university's undergraduate housing system and primarily serves students of Columbia College (New York).
History[edit]
Wallach Hall was originally known as Livingston Hall when it was constructed in 1925. It was renamed in 1981 in honor of Ira D. Wallach, a prominent alumnus and benefactor of Columbia University. The building is part of a complex that includes Hartley Hall and John Jay Hall, forming a central part of the undergraduate residential experience at Columbia.
Architecture[edit]
The building features a neoclassical design, consistent with many of the other buildings on the Morningside Heights campus. It has undergone several renovations to modernize its facilities while preserving its historical character.
