Beverage Partners Worldwide

Beverage Partners Worldwide (BPW) was a joint venture between The Coca-Cola Company and Nestl S.A., two of the largest beverage and food companies in the world. The partnership focused on the development and marketing of ready-to-drink tea and coffee beverages.

History[edit]

Beverage Partners Worldwide was established in 1991 as a collaboration between The Coca-Cola Company and Nestl . The joint venture aimed to leverage the strengths of both companies in the beverage industry, combining Coca-Cola's expertise in marketing and distribution with Nestl 's knowledge in coffee and tea products.

In 2001, the joint venture was restructured and renamed Beverage Partners Worldwide. The focus was primarily on the development of ready-to-drink tea products under the Nestea brand.

Products[edit]

Beverage Partners Worldwide was known for its Nestea brand, which offered a variety of ready-to-drink tea products. These included flavored iced teas, green teas, and other tea-based beverages. The products were marketed in various regions around the world, adapting to local tastes and preferences.

Operations[edit]

The joint venture operated in several key markets, including Europe, Asia, and the Americas. BPW utilized Coca-Cola's extensive distribution network to reach a wide audience, while Nestl contributed its expertise in product development and innovation.

Dissolution[edit]

In 2017, The Coca-Cola Company and Nestl announced the dissolution of Beverage Partners Worldwide. The decision was made to allow each company to pursue their own strategies in the ready-to-drink tea market. Following the dissolution, Coca-Cola took over the marketing and distribution of the Nestea brand in several markets, while Nestl retained control in others.
