NOS is a popular energy drink that is marketed and distributed by the Coca-Cola Company. Named after the Nitrous Oxide Systems (NOS) used in cars to boost speed, the drink is designed to provide a similar energy boost to its consumers.
History
The NOS energy drink was first introduced in the market in 2005. It was initially produced and distributed by the Fuze Beverage company, which was later acquired by the Coca-Cola Company in 2007. Since then, NOS has been a part of the Coca-Cola's energy drink portfolio.
Ingredients
The main ingredients of NOS energy drink include carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, taurine, citric acid, natural flavors, sodium citrate, sodium hexametaphosphate, caffeine, potassium sorbate, gum arabic, inositol, calcium disodium EDTA, pyridoxine hydrochloride, sucralose, guarana extract, cyanocobalamin, and Yellow 5.
Varieties
NOS energy drink comes in several flavors, including Original, GT Grape, Nitro Mango, Sonic Sour, Power Punch, and Turbo. Each flavor has its own unique taste, but all of them provide the same energy boost.
Health Effects
Like other energy drinks, NOS contains high levels of caffeine and sugar, which can lead to health issues if consumed excessively. These can include heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. It is recommended to consume NOS in moderation.
