From WikiMD's Medical Encyclopedia

Pibb Xtra[edit]

Pibb Xtra, formerly known as Mr. Pibb, is a popular soft drink that is produced and distributed by The Coca-Cola Company. It was first introduced in 1972 as a competitor to Dr. Pepper.

History[edit]

The Coca-Cola Company first introduced Mr. Pibb in 1972 to compete with Dr. Pepper. The original formula was replaced in 2001 by Pibb Xtra, which added an extra kick of flavor to the original recipe.

Flavor[edit]

Pibb Xtra is a spicy cherry soda, similar to Dr. Pepper but with a stronger cherry flavor. The "Xtra" in its name refers to an extra amount of caffeine and flavor compared to the original Mr. Pibb formula.

Availability[edit]

Pibb Xtra is widely available in the United States, but its distribution is limited in other countries. In some regions, it is sold under the name "Pibb Zero," which is a zero-calorie version of the drink.

Ingredients[edit]

The main ingredients of Pibb Xtra are carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, caramel color, phosphoric acid, natural flavors, and caffeine.
