Bodyarmor SuperDrink
Bodyarmor SuperDrink is a sports drink that was first introduced in 2011. It is marketed as a healthier alternative to other sports drinks, with a focus on natural ingredients and electrolyte replenishment.
History[edit]
Bodyarmor SuperDrink was co-founded by Mike Repole and Lance Collins, both of whom have a history in the beverage industry. Repole was a co-founder of Vitaminwater, which was sold to The Coca-Cola Company in 2007. Collins was the founder of Fuze Beverage, which was also sold to Coca-Cola, in 2006.
In 2013, professional basketball player Kobe Bryant became a significant investor in the company, and also joined its board of directors. In 2018, The Coca-Cola Company acquired a minority stake in Bodyarmor, with an agreement in place that allows it to fully acquire the company in the future.
Ingredients and Varieties[edit]
Bodyarmor SuperDrink is made with a blend of coconut water, vitamins, and electrolytes, and is sweetened with pure cane sugar. It does not contain any artificial colors or flavors. The drink is available in a variety of flavors, including fruit punch, strawberry banana, and tropical punch.
The company also produces Bodyarmor Lyte, which has fewer calories and less sugar than the original drink, and Bodyarmor SportWater, a premium sports water that is designed for athletes.
Reception and Market Impact[edit]
Since its launch, Bodyarmor SuperDrink has seen significant growth and has become a major player in the sports drink market. It has been praised for its natural ingredients and has been endorsed by a number of professional athletes, including James Harden, Mike Trout, and Naomi Osaka.
