Central America (pronunciation: /ˈsɛntrəl əˈmɛrɪkə/) is a region found in the southern tip of North America and is known for its unique geographical, cultural, and historical features.

The term "Central America" is derived from the location of the region, being centrally located in the Americas, between North and South America.

Central America is a narrow isthmus that links North America and South America. It includes seven countries: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.
