The Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW) is a graduate school of Columbia University in New York City. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious schools of social work in the United States, having been established in 1898. The Columbia University School of Social Work was founded in 1898 as the New York School of Philanthropy, making it the first institution of its kind in the United States.
