The college is renowned for its academic excellence and has produced many notable alumni, including Charles Darwin and John Milton.

History[edit]

Christ's College was originally established as God's House in 1437 by William Byngham, a London parish priest. The college's main site is located on St Andrew's Street, and it features a mix of architectural styles. The First Court, which dates back to the 16th century, is one of the oldest parts of the college. The chapel, completed in 1510, is a fine example of Perpendicular Gothic architecture.
