Yale Center for British Art

The Yale Center for British Art is a public art museum and research institute for the study of British art and culture. It is located at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. The center was established in 1966 through a gift from Paul Mellon, a Yale alumnus and philanthropist. The museum opened to the public in 1977.

The Yale Center for British Art was founded by Paul Mellon, who donated his extensive collection of British art to Yale University.
